Annabelle saved Carrick O’Harra twelve years ago, she was young and should have been afraid at the hulk of a man but she didn’t flinch. Carrick owed her a marker and gave her a necklace as thanks. Years later Annabelle needs a miracle as her stepfather has put her up for auction.
Carrick never thought he would hear from Annabelle again, but when she calls he is a one man force that comes and rescues her. The problem is the man who bought her wants her back and will do everything in his power to get her.
This was entertaining and fast paced. Carrick was a bit of a mess, he had a dark broody personality which took a bit to get his head adjusted when it came to Annabelle. I liked Annabelle, but did wonder why she had not left her stepfathers when she got the chance.
