Were Love Found Her (Were Trilogy, #2)Were Love Found Her by Dixie Lynn Dwyer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Antoinette “Toni” does not know what to think about her bosses Brad and Luke, who she knows are Alpha weres and she feels undeniably drawn to, but the feeling doesn’t seem to be returned. When she begins starting having visions that reveal two other Alphas from another clan, she is even more confused by her conflicted feelings.

Jacob and Troy are cousins of Lexi (from the first Were book in series), when Toni jumps in front of Jacob and saves his life, they know they have just found their mate. Not knowing what her role was in the attempt on Jacob’s life though has them asking a lot of questions, and when Luke and Brad show up claiming she is their mates as well. Could Toni be the mate for two clans that will align upon their mating?

Excellent read, I was confused by the description about the book initially but there was a lot more too it than described. Loved Luke and Troy, they are instant favorites.

****Reread, planning to read the next one and wanted to be up to date in story. There is an unexpected twist in this that is uncommon in paranormal shifter stories.

The Alpha’s Hunger by Renee Rose

The Alpha's HungerThe Alpha’s Hunger by Renee Rose

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alpha and CEO Ben Stone knows something is different when he finds Ashley Bell curled up by her desk trying to get rid of her migraine. Although Ben is a natural Alpha, he has not taking over the pack once his brother was killed. He is a walking target and although he has stepped into the role of CEO has not won over the company by any means.

Ashley believes Ben’s demeanor is what is causing the company to struggle. She realizes quickly he is harboring a lot of guilt over his family and is not too surprised to find out he is a wolf. Acting on her belief Ben is equally attracted to her, she makes a play but every time she does he pushes her farther away. Ben doesn’t believe he can hold back where Ashley is concerned and when her twin ends up in trouble he steps in to help but also to see if Ashley has betrayed him.

This story had a lot of layers to it. On the one hand you had a reluctant alpha and the other a wolf who has found his mate. Ashley was adorable and you completely understand why she does what she does. I hope this becomes a series, it easily could.

Talon quickly realizes that Gretchen is his mat and when he acts on it she knees him in the nuts. Gretchen has no intention of mating and the sooner Talon realizes it the sooner they can focus on helping her dad.

Had some really funny moments. Fast paced and Talon was pure alpha. Liked the dynamics in the story had a refreshing take on shifters.

Blind Devotion (Chaos Bleeds Book 4)Blind Devotion by Sam Crescent

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pussy earned his biker name by enjoying woman, he doesn’t do relationships and after his best friend is murdered he believes no one can be in his life with all the chaos going on between the threat of Gonzalez. It doesn’t stop Pussy from longing for the one woman who has gotten under his skin, Sasha.

Sasha was blinded by her stepfather, her life has been miserable since having to be directly under his care. Her mother is no help as she spends her time doting on the “perfect” husband or nursing bottles and pills. Even blind, Sasha knows how evil he is. When she meets Pussy the first time, she finally feels safe but he keeps her distance. When Pussy realizes Sasha is in danger though he takes her and knows he will never let her go. With the club influx Sasha believes she will only burden Pussy, but he plans to prove to her he is never going to let her go.

Very good. It took a bit to keep reading his name but you get used to it. Sasha was a fascinating character. I liked that the story took awhile to develop, it wasn’t instant caveman. Look forward to more in the series.

All In (The Knights of Mayhem #1)All In by Brook Greene

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Avery Delany is perfectly content living a life as a single woman spending her nights watching television and relaxing. However her friend wants her to hang out with her and she reluctantly goes. Meeting Leo Tucker, Avery doesn’t deny she is attracted but she doesn’t want a hookup or relationship. Leo has other ideas though and a few secrets as well. Leo is the MC of the Knights of Mayhem, but it is a persona and he isn’t sure if he can keep Avery safe if she takes a chance on him..

This was quite a bit different for a biker story. Leo is pure alpha and when Avery dismisses him, he goes about getting her attention in a unique way. I look forward to reading more from Brook Greene.

Bridenapped (The Alpha Chronicles, #1)Bridenapped by Georgette St. Clair

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Caitlin Bellefont receives an invitation to her own wedding, she is shocked and furious. Her groom to be is none other than Kristofer, the new Alpha of the Verhold Pack. The man single handedly ruined her family by taking their land. The Bellefont’s have been fighting the claim but with no deed to prove their stance. Initially Caitlin thinks this is a cruel joke but Kristofer is completely dedicated to claiming Caitlin as his wife.

Some of the pack is not thrilled with the Alpha’s choice in bride and trying to sabotage the event. Even if Caitlin changes her mind about Kristofer, her family still comes first. Each day that she grows closer to the wedding, she finds herself falling harder for Kristofer and it is going to break her heart to leave.

Entertaining original story. I thought this was very funny, loved Caitlin’s family. Kristofer has to put the pack first and although he knows Caitlin sees him as the enemy he does everything he can to win her heart. Had a couple of twists I was not expecting.

About-the-Author

Jennifer Kloester

I was born in Melbourne, Australia, but have lived and worked in Papua New Guinea and the Middle East and travelled to more than thirty countries. During my time abroad I studied as an off-campus student with Deakin University and achieved my BA (Hons) while raising my three children. After graduating with a PhD in history from the University of Melbourne, I had my first two books: ‘Georgette Heyer’s Regency World’ and ‘Georgette Heyer’ (the biography) published in both the UK and the USA. I’ve had lots of fun giving talks around the world on Georgette Heyer and the Regency, and am a passionate advocate for women writers, books and reading. My first novel, ‘The Cinderella Moment’, was published by Penguin Australia and Swoon Romance in 2013 and will be followed by the sequel, The Rapunzel Dilemma in 2014. I love writing and spending time with my family, gardening, reading and going to the beach. I have a black belt in karate and am love having adventures. One of my favourite things is experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and trying out different languages. Particular interests include Georgette Heyer first editions, and after a glorious visit to South Korea in 2012, Korean language and culture.

Gordon's DawnGordon’s Dawn by Hazel Gower

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After an accident left thirty nine year old Gordon Wilks reevaluating his life, he decided to take a year off from being the CEO of his company. Gordon wants a wife, children, the whole white picket fence. All the women Gordon have met though are either after his money, frosty, or a society climber. Fleeing to Australia for the hunt for his wife he runs into a lot of dead ends and his year is almost up.

Gordon has met one woman though that encompasses everything he wants, Dawn his neighbor. However she is only twenty two and Gordon worries about their age difference. Deciding he will regret never finding out what would happen if, he makes his move and it is earth shattering. One big secret though is between them as they begin their life together, Gordon has not been forthcoming with who he really is.

Another great story from Hazel Gower. I liked Gordon, he was the right amount of alpha but part goofball. Dawn is a fascinating character, she is a complete original. Very exciting read.

Forever (Eternity, #1)Forever by Allyson Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dean Chambray doesn’t do relationships, he sleeps with a woman and leaves. No overnights, no games, certainly no attachments. Dean’s life is riddled with secrets he is a crime boss who is actually an undercover agent. Amy Copeland is a distraction, when he offers her a one night stand she turns him down. Dean is not often surprised but everything about Amy surprises him. he feels a pull and he desperately wants to keep her in his life.

Amy has had a tough life filled with mistakes until a moment shook her so hard she had a wake up call. Now Amy is trying to rebuild her life and the one big change she has is no one and done involvements. She breaks her rule for Dean and when he offers her something more, the two come to an agreement. Dean is rough and says it like it is, but Amy is not wanting barked orders and lays out what she willing to live with where Dean is concerned.

Fantastic story. i was hooked from the very beginning. Dean is a chauvinistic jerk but you come to love him and he completely adores Amy. Amy is an inspiring heroine, she made mistakes, owned them and is looking for a better life for herself. Will definitely be looking for the rest of the series.

Tuck's Wrath (The Brothers of Menace MC, #5)Tuck’s Wrath by Jenika Snow

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Single Mom Jana Finley thought she had no where to turn until she found herself being under the care of the Brothers of Menace MC. She worked and cleaned earning her keep while hiding from her abusive ex and staying under the radar. She did have one man though that she secretly watched, bearded member Tuck.

Tuck had stayed his distance knowing his hard life was not something that he wanted Jana any part of. Although he wanted her, he wanted her to get the best that life could offer. When he finds out she has been kidnapped though, something breaks inside tuck. He is determined to find her and if she will have him be there everyday for the rest of his life.

Gritty. Was completely entranced by Tuck he is a bearded hard ass man, but he is so wonderful when it comes to Jana. He puts her first, even betraying his club but he knows he would do it all again for her. Roller coaster ride of a read.
