Sucked Into Love (Bachelorette Party, #1)Sucked Into Love by Rochelle Paige

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jocelyn has not always had support but when her best friend Cee-Cee calls she is always there for her. She had not expected that her newest favor would be to be a fake bachelorette for research.

Andrew will admit that the thrill of the chase has gone wayward. Successful retired hockey player and owner to several entertainment venues, Andrew can have anyone he wants but it is getting redundant. When he sees Jocelyn he knows she is different and he wants her but when he sees that she is wearing “suck for a buck” t-shirts designed for bachelorettes on their last day of freedom, he finds himself disappointed.

When Andrew finds out that the woman who has haunted his thoughts is actually very single and the circumstances around that bacherlotte party, he pulls out all the stops. Andrew is falling hard and he knows Jocelyn is his one, Jocelyn is equally entranced but a difficult childhood has her proceeding with caution. Andrew can be patient but in the end, Jocelyn will be his forever.

Loved this one, Andrew is pure alpha. Jocelyn has no problem putting Andrew in his place and what I really liked was they communicated. Very sensual, can’t wait for more.

Ever After Drake (The McCain Saga, #1)Ever After Drake by Keary Taylor

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It was not the day Kaylee Ray envisioned with the first day of her new job as a high school teacher, but after a break up text and a student trying to hit on her it is apparent it is a disaster. When she meets Mr. Drake McCain another teacher things are looking up.

Drake is not sure if it is too soon for Kaylee but he is having a hard time being a gentleman about waiting, he wants to date her. Kaylee is quickly becoming his everything, but their road together wouldn’t be met with a few complications along the way.

Sweet story, the chemistry between Drake and Kaylee is wonderful. I liked that Drake was a bit shy where Kaylee was concerned. Kaylee is a bit of sunshine, very fun read.

Review

Kelly McAllister is adjusting to her life as a IR team member. With a lot of loose ends and a girl she is protecting in a coma, Kelly is just trying to get through the day. As if her day to day work is not enough there is the attraction to Van Noziak. They are on opposites sides but when they get together there is an undeniable want that they are hesitant to act on. With the overwhelming task of protecting the girl and finding out about what her role in the matter is, Kelly has a difficult road in front of her.

This was the first book in the series that I have read and I was completely captivated. I so hope there is more to Kelly and Van’s story, even though it is on shaky ground. Can’t wait to find out next.

Eloquent Silence (Candlelight Ecstasy, #49)Eloquent Silence by Sandra Brown

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Lauri agreed to consider the personal tutor position for a hearing-impaired girl named Jennifer who was part of her school, she never realized that the father was none other than actor Drake Rivington. Their initial meeting doesn’t go over very well, but when Lauri puts aside her frustration with Drake and agrees everything changes.

Drake just wants the best for his daughter. As a widower who loved his wife, Drake has no intention of putting his heart out there again. Lauri though wakes every ounce of passion he has though and seeing her with his daughter has Drake wondering if he can have a second chance.

Fascinating story.. I thought the way the author was able to describe the communication between Jennifer and learning to sign was very visual. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, I loved that Drake was a bit of a egotistical male and Lauri is so sweet, Lauri though has no problem putting him in his place.

Her Boss The AlphaHer Boss The Alpha by K.S. Martin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lauren doesn’t understand why Jake frequently stares at her, he is her boss but from what Lauren can tell she is one of the best workers he has. Jake knew the minute he caught sight of Lauren that she was his mate, he has been waiting a year to make a move but she always seemed unreachable. Jake gets his chance though and tries to go slowly with earning Lauren’s trust, but as a shifter you have to be constantly on guard and very few know of their existence.

I liked the idea of this story, but it felt like it was missing something. Both characters are likeable and it definitely has sizzle factor, I think I would have liked t get to know each character a bit more.

In Heat (In Heat, #1)In Heat by Felicity Heaton

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kim has had dreams of a man who she knows in her soul is something important to her, but in her dreams she never sees his face. When she meets newest client Eric Blackwell she feels an instant attraction but he is a client and that is a line she cannot cross.

Black panther shifter Erik has been waiting for twenty-seven years for his mate and now she is in front of him. If he wasn’t dealing with the mess his brother has dragged him into, he would be spending his time courting her. Will Kim accept the mating or will she run, after he tells her what he is.

Very good shifter story. Erik was intense and never wavers from his dedication to Kim. Looking forward to find out what happens next.

The Game Plan (Neighbor from Hell, #5)The Game Plan by R.L. Mathewson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jodi is ready to commit murder, she has been brought to the brink of crazy by her neighbor Danny Bradford. Danny has escalated from just annoying to full out jerk and Jodi wants out, she is ready to move. However the Bradfords own the apartment complex and seem to be insistent that she stay there.

In one moment Danny goes from just enjoying tormenting his neighbor to head on attraction. Danny knows Jodi isn’t going to trust him or that she has had any reason to but he has a game plan to woo Jodi and although it doesn’t go off as smoothly as he planned, Danny persists in trying to win Jodi’s heart.

I was cracking up through out. Jodi is sweet and kind of the girl next door type, but when she is with Danny she is a firecracker. Danny is confident, arrogant, and at times misguided but you love him for it. Another exceptional read from R.L. Mathewson.

Fear the Boss (Deadly Duet, #1)Fear the Boss by Sam Crescent

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everything about Caleb Cassell terrifies Donna, from his demeanor to the fact she finds him attractive. Caleb worked his way from the bottom up, as a fighter to a man who has no rules. The minute he sees Donna he is intrigue, but she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Caleb though believes if he can get just one date, she will change her mind.

Pure alpha male, Caleb is a man who is in control. From intense desire to dealing with his business and the conflict he may have with finding a woman who becomes the most important thing in his life. I thought this was a fantastic read, can’t wait to read more in this series.

Nolan is a man who is used to getting anything he wants and he wants Chloe. The story starts in the middle of their relationship and it is a whirlwind. Nolan is pure alpha male and he is head over heels in love with Chloe and plans to claim her in every possible way. I think the story is primarily focused on Nolan, while Chloe is a large part of the story Nolan controls most of it.

This reminded me a bit of Knight and a darker version of Until Nico. Short story and another fabulous read from Aurora Rose Reynolds.
