Venice in the Moonlight by Elizabeth McKenna
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When Marietta married her husband, she believed it would not be a perfect marriage by any means, but the truth was any worse than she could possibly imagine. When he dies suddenly, Marietta is cast out. Marietta decides to return to Venice to find her father died under suspicious circumstances.
Determined to find out the truth, Marietta begins to uncover what really happened. She is not alone in her effort though, she had met Nico on her travels. Nico is blind, but even without being able to see he supports Marietta in her investigation. As their feelings turn to something more both are finding they are leaning on one another more as they continue to find a path to a future, perhaps with one another.
The first chapter blew me away, I felt so sorry for Marietta. The story itself is quite entertaining, you are not sure what is going to happen with Nico and Marietta as the story progresses. Entertaining read.
Thank you for reviewing my story, Emily!
