Crimson at Cape May (The Haunted Shores Mysteries #2)Crimson at Cape May by Randy Overbeck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Darrell Henshaw can see ghosts, not only see them he can speak to them. When he temporarily relocates to Cape May he ends up seeing a woman who is known around town is the Haunted Bride. Darrell is trying to repair his relationship with his girlfriend as well as hope he is cleared to get back his job he is on break from. Darrell ends up befriending Cassie who has the same gift as he and trying to find out what really happened to the Haunted Bride.

I found Darrell an interesting character in some ways he reminded me of Monk, while not as fastidious. Darrell has a lot going on with trying to fix everything that went wrong in the past few months, throw in his new investigation and coming to terms with how it is becoming a normalcy in his life which he does not want. Overall a fascinating mystery and I was pulled in with trying to solve it. Would definitely pick up more in this series and written in such a way you could visualize every moment.
