During the Civil War major Daniel Parker is killed in battle but he is given a second chance by joining the Brotherhood of the Beloved. As part of the Beloved he is able to return to his family and for a brief times believes his death was a figment of his imagination. However, when his guardian Bernard arrives he realizes he is meant for something greater.
This was a unique story. I liked the way it was written, it was easy to visualize what was going on. Intriguing story that got better with each turn of the page.
