Ethan Wate doesn’t know what to do with his girl Lena Duchannes. He feels her pulling away after the death of her uncle Macon, Lena has not been the same sense. Knowing she has to choose either the light or dark side on her seventeenth birthday, Ethan does his best to keep Lena close but she finds herself hanging with a newcomer who Ethan doesn’t care for and Ridley the troublemaker.
Is Lena’s fate set and what are the dreams that Ethan is having have to do with the future. Secrets revealed and a lot of chaos is about to unfold in Gatlin.
I did not enjoy this one as much as the first book. I was surprised by Lena in this book, found it hard to sympathize in some situations and Ethan kind of drones on. Once the book picks up though it is action packed. I did enjoy the book but thought it dragged a bit in the beginning. Will read the next book to see how this unfolds.
