Jack is not used to being turned down and that is precisely what Alexis Taft does. Jack doesn’t do relationships, he is a one and done type of guy but now he is considering it with Alexis. As Jack tries to understand the bewildering woman he finds he only wants one result, Alexis as his.
Alexis works two jobs to pay for his deceased mother’s medical expenses and puts her sister through college. Alexis is more than willing to sacrifice having a personal life to do what is right, but meeting Jack has her wishing for a little bit more. Jack lets her know from the minute he decides they are going to have a relationship. She knows Jack is a player and Alexis is struggling to understand what he sees in her. When Alexis begins to get threats, Jack vows to protect her and hope they can figure out who is behind it before it is too late.
Loved, loved, loved this one. They are opposites but they fit so perfectly together. Jack is direct and pure alpha male where Alexis is concerned. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
